Chol-wdwuok was born in Kongor, South Sudan, the eldest of his siblings.
As the son of a farmer, he grew up herding calves and cattles rearing chickens, babysitting his siblings, and playing hide-go-seek, and more, with his age-mates at free times.
During 1991 Bor Massacre, his family scattered all over the State, when he was roughly old enough to have memories of awesome life he was leading.
In 2000, he moved to Kenya, Kakuma Refugee Camp, for education. There, he attended a Refugee school also run by UNHCR and LWF. He worked hard from grade 5 to grade 7.
In Kenyan Certificate of Primary Education,Kenyan National Exams for eighth graders, he ranked fifteeth in the entire Kakuma Refugee Camp after which he applied and, through series of oral and written exams, got a full-paid Jesuit Refugee scholarship to Katilu Boys Secondary School.
After graduating from Katilu in 2008, he again applied for World University Services of Canada through Windle Trust Kenya. Shortly thereafter, he along with about 130 contestants was shortlisted and went throught oral, listening and written exams spread over the year 2009.
On the final shortlsiting,Chol-wdwuok and other 27 constestants reached the promised land and got placements in Canadian Universities; University of British Columbia, Mcgill, Toronto, Waterloo, Victoria, just to mention a few.
While he waited for the magic letter of placement from, he registered as a teacher in Palotaka Primary School where he taguht Science and Mathemtically in grade 6 and 7 respectively. Plus a side evening and weekends hustle in Kakuma High schools.
In his birthmonth, August 2010, he got a plane's ticket and WUSC scholarship to University of British Columbia, UBC, where he attained his Bachelor Degree in Mathematics and minor in Economics in 2016. @https://www.ubc.ca/
Shortly thereof, he registered as a Subcontracting Business in the Contruction and started writing and with help of Friesenpress, self-published "Angels in Swollen Crises: stepmother (2016) & Of Rages and Grades : Struggle of One(2018). And the third is due later this year.
He lives in Burnaby, British Columbia.
